Messages promised faster tax refunds if I “verified” details on a site. I ignored them. What official habits do people use in tax season?

Start from the official tax agency site you already know. Unsolicited refund urgency is a classic bait.

If you already interacted, consider credit freezes via official bureaus and watch accounts — details stay offline.
