Community guidelines

Care, privacy, and honesty belong in every reply.

These expectations help make peer support useful without promising certainty or putting anyone at more risk.

01

Respond to the person, not just the problem

Be kind and patient. Do not blame, shame, interrogate, or pressure someone to disclose more than they choose.

02

Keep personal information private

Never request or post contact details, identifying information, account credentials, private addresses, or evidence from an active case.

03

Be honest about uncertainty

Share personal experience as experience—not as professional advice. Do not promise recovery or claim CCRNet verified a person or service.

04

No targeting or paid recovery offers

Do not solicit members, advertise recovery services, move a vulnerable conversation into private contact, or ask for advance fees.

05

Report concerns privately

Use the report control for exposed information, harassment, dangerous claims, or suspicious contact. Do not confront the author publicly.
