An account attempted to publish a promotional post in the CCRNET community for a service using the name “Grayware Tech Services.” The submission was flagged as suspect and fraudulent and was blocked by our moderation system before it was published publicly. After reviewing the submission and the claims being made, we found enough serious red flags that we do not consider this service trustworthy and have removed its attempted post from our community. The attempted post was framed as a personal recovery story. It claimed that about $500,000 in USDC had been taken from a Bybit-associated wallet without authorization, that Grayware Tech Services had traced the funds through blockchain forensics, and that the same firm also offers wallet-security reviews, phishing assessments, API-key reviews, MFA strengthening, and hardware-wallet advice. The post ended with a sales pitch and a contact email. The submitted promotion referenced: Account that submitted the post: malachihartmann1 Submitted: 19 September 2026 Name used: Grayware Tech Services Pattern: recovery-scam advertising posted as a first-person “victim” testimonial This is a common follow-on scam. After someone has already lost crypto, a second operator poses as a recovery or forensics firm, often using a polished story, a professional-sounding company name, and an invitation to contact them by email. Legitimate investigators and law-enforcement partners do not solicit victims through forum testimonials of this kind, and they do not need seed phrases, private keys, remote access, or advance “unlock,” “tax,” or “gas” fees to look at a public transaction hash. CCRNET recommends that members exercise extreme caution and avoid engaging with this service unless they can independently verify its legitimacy. Never provide a seed phrase, private key, wallet credentials, passwords, identification documents, or remote access to anyone offering cryptocurrency recovery services. For accuracy, this notice reflects CCRNET’s moderation assessment of an attempted submission and our review of the associated promotional material. We are not stating that there has been a court judgment or criminal conviction involving the service. If you see this company, this email address, or similar recovery services being promoted in the community, please report the post or account to the moderation team. CCRNET Moderation Team
